Speckle was a misguided ladybug who one cold November night mistakenly thought the apartment of a visually impaired cancer patient would be a good place to stay the winter.    Upon discovery by the tenant, it looked as though this ladybug only had 5 legs, but after a steady diet of chocolate brownies and deli food, all 6 legs were working again!   :)      But this ladybug somehow seemed to keep getting lost even in the small apartment, sometimes lost for days, she would reappear by a light.  Served steam distilled water, roast beef, and fruit peels (don't ask) she got bigger.   Poems and stories about her were turned into songs.   

Speckle was released outside a sunny warm day in April.  

I'm in a larger apartment now.  Have only seen 3 ladybugs here.  There is no garage here and my little Subaru looks like it got hit by a hurricane of dirt.

When I decided to name my second album Hurricane Of Dirt it wasn't about any particular hurricane.  It was in regard to my garageless car parked underneath a tree and the other things that have been thrown at me in life.  Though I have made small contributions to tornado & hurricane relief, etc., I am sorry I have not dedicated the entire album to storm damage funds as 1) I have not made a profit yet and 2) received some storm damage myself.   Maybe in the future I will be able to donate more though my interests are usually those children who have suffered amputations from bat bites.


When asked of my musical influences, I answer various, mostly my Grandmothers.  Speckle's musical influences are more obvious.
